The Golden Gate Chapter of RIMS (the Risk Management Society) serves our members throughout the San Francisco Bay area. Our mission is to promote risk and insurance management through education, intern sponsorship programs, and by influencing legislation and regulation at the state and federal levels. Our objectives are to:

Provide a forum to express the needs and viewpoints of risk managers and to promote the free exchange of ideas

Further the risk and insurance management process by seeking cooperation and promoting understanding with other professional societies

Foster education programs for risk management

Foster philanthropic activities related to risk management

Support RIMS in the accomplishment of its national goals and objectives as adopted by the national board of directors
