Payment Policy
The Golden Gate Chapter of RIMS provides educational, support and career enrichment services and information to its members through meetings, workshops, seminars, group sessions, trade shows and other educational events. Annual membership dues and registration charges for events may be paid online.
REGISTRATION, CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Registration deadline: Registration for monthly meetings closes at noon Pacific time on the second Thursday of the month (one week before the event) so we can give an estimated attendance count to the venue where the meetings are held. A limited number of spaces are available for walk-in attendees and allocated on a first-arrival basis. If you miss the deadline to register and still wish to attend, please arrive early for the best chance of getting a space.
Meeting and events cancellation policy: The deadline to cancel your registration and receive a refund is noon Pacific time on the second Thursday of the month (one week before the event). To cancel, email [email protected].
Missed the cancellation deadline? Substitutions are welcome! If you find you're unable to attend after the cancellation deadline has passed, please feel free to pass your registration along to a colleague. If possible, please email [email protected] so we can update the registration information. (If you find you need to cancel after the deadline due to illness, extreme weather, or other unforeseeable events, please email [email protected]. We’ll be glad to shift your registration to a future meeting if possible.)
“Risk Managers attend free” policy: Risk managers or one of their staff may attend FREE with preregistration, compliments of the chapter (one free attendance per member organization, please). PLEASE NOTE: Because we must pay the venue for all confirmed registrations, no-shows will be charged. If you’ve registered under the “risk managers attend free” policy and do not either attend the meeting, cancel your registration before the deadline, or send an alternate in your place, you will be charged for the meeting and sent an invoice via email.
Visiting from another chapter? If you’re a member of a different RIMS chapter and would like to attend a Golden Gate RIMS meeting, the “Risk Managers attend free” policy applies to you. Please email [email protected] to register.
Meeting check-in deadline: Registrations will be held until 11:55 am the day of the meeting. If you have registered but have not arrived by 11:55, there is a chance your meal may be given to a walk-in attendee. This will be considered cancelling after the deadline and no refund will be issued.
Pro-D Events only: fees for attendance (including meal costs, if any) will be refunded in full if a written cancellation from the attendee is received no less than twenty-five (25) days prior to the date of the event. Refer to Meetings and events refund policy if instructor is local as noted in the event description.
Membership fees (dues): Membership fees are non-refundable.
Fees associated with trade shows, reverse trade shows and/or multi-day events: booth and sponsorship fees are fully refundable if a written cancellation is received no less than sixty (60) days prior to the first day of the event. No refunds will be made for cancellations received within sixty (60) days of the first day of the show. Advertising fees are not refundable.
